Gap of Dunloe

Gap of Dunloe

This shot was taken on a visit to the Gap of Dunloe in late January 2018. While the valley with its many twists and turns is a popular destination in summer, it is very tranquil in winter. Especially when roads are slippery.

Even from a distance, I had noticed the colourful spray-painted sheep among the boulders, and I was keen to include them in my shot. After a bit of climbing, it worked. Even though I had to admit that it is easier to move on slippery rocks and snow with four legs than with two. 😉
