Dunquin Pier – from the Ireland 2017 Calendar

The May image of my Ireland 2017 calendar shows Dunquin Pier on the Dingle Peninsula. This pier was the traditional starting point for visitor boats to the Great Blasket Island. Standing above the pier on the slope, you see a breathtaking landscape right in front of you. For me, it always seems as if the two rocks in front of the pier point to the Great Blasket island. As if one would not be spoiled by the island anyway…
