Glanworth Bridge in Co. Cork, Ireland

Glanworth Bridge

This photo of Glanworth Bridge was taken a few weeks ago while I was working on the layout of my 2021 Ireland calendar. It made it virtually from the camera directly into the calendar.

The medieval bridge has been in use since 1446 and is only 3.75 meters wide, making it the oldest and narrowest working road bridge in Europe. Nowadays traffic across the bridge is facilitated by traffic lights.
