Special award for Irish seascape photography

8 March 2022

My photograph of Kilcummin Beach on the Dingle Peninsula was presented with the 15th Annual International Color Awards Nominee title in the category of Nature (professional) at a prestigious Winners & Nominee Photoshow streamed Saturday, March 26, 2022.

The International Color Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence in color photography. This year 6,786 entries were received from 78 countries.

Kilcummin Beach is located in the north of the Dingle Peninsula between Fermoyle Strand and Stradbally Strand. It is part of an extensive beautiful sandy beach that stretches for about 14 km.
The timing for this shot couldn’t have been better. It was almost calm and mighty cumulus clouds were reflected in the shallow water of the beach. As the blue sky appeared, the reflection was picture perfect.
