My new website is finished

Finally, my new website is finished! Well, it’s not really finished (a website is never really finished), but at least it’s up and running. More on this later.
I started working on the new website back in November 2023. That year I spent a long time traveling in Canada and Scotland, and my new photos didn’t really fit with the existing website. It had a structure that had evolved over the years and was completely focused on Ireland. So something new was required. I never would have thought back then that it would take so long. In 2024 and most recently in the spring of this year, I went on further trips and always came back with new photos that I wanted to showcase on the new website. So there was always a reasonable excuse to postpone the launch of the new website. The selecting and editing of large photo collections, urgent deadlines with publishers, and not to mention the daily insanity ensured that the “new website” project kept getting pushed back and even disappeared from the agenda at times.
In early July of this year, I had just returned from taking new photos in Ireland and decided that the new website should be ready for the launch of the Ireland 2026 calendar. So, for the first time, there was now a rough launch date, which would be in late August/early September. The calendar was printed on July 30, and in the past it took about four weeks to complete the production process. Not this time. On August 12, I received a call from the printer to arrange the delivery date for the following week. It was of course great that the calendar would be delivered so quickly, but it meant that the plans for the launch of the new website were now obsolete.
The new website suddenly had to be completed around two weeks earlier than scheduled, and it was immediately obvious that this would be a difficult undertaking. At the time the calendar delivery was announced, many sections were already finalized. However, the photo collections were still missing, and only blog posts containing pure news had been transferred. So, I concentrated on completing the photo sections over the last few days, and now you can look forward to hundreds of previously unreleased photos on the new website, in addition to familiar images!
The blog will soon feature more detailed information about photo locations. However, a new and more detailed presentation is planned for this. The first contents will be written after the website has been launched and will be published shortly.
I warmly invite you to take a look around my new website and be patient if you come across sections that are still a little sparse. At the same time, I would encourage you to check back often in the near future, as further updates and many new photographs will follow. Exciting new projects are also in the pipeline and will be announced here soon.
Please do let me know your thoughts on the new website by email or in the comments below. I am very excited to hear what you think of the new website.
Cheers!
