Ireland Calendar 2026 has been printed

Yesterday the time had come again: My Ireland Calendar 2026 was printed and, as always, it was a great pleasure to witness this crucial part of the production process. It is always a gruelling task to finalise the 12 images that will make it into the calendar. Until then, images have been considered, rejected and, at the last minute, the entire selection is thrown overboard again. I am therefore always very happy when the date for printing arrives – because then no more changes are possible.
At the printing press, it’s always great when the pages come to life. This time, I was really looking forward to the printing with a great deal of awe, as I used a completely new workflow for the production of the new calendar. Firstly, I created the calendar with Affinity Publisher for the first time (previously with InDesign) and secondly, I am now working with a new Eizo monitor (previously on an iMac). So a few parameters had changed that definitely have an impact on the output and its visual evaluation. But the very first printed sheet reassured me, because the colors came out as vividly on the paper as I had imagined.
The calendar sheets are now going into further processing and the finished calendars should arrive at my place at the end of August. I can hardly wait until I have a finished copy in my hands.
